www.bet365.co.uk – Premiership Predictions – Boxing DAy

posted by admin in Odds

www.bet365.co.uk – With Christmas now here I thought I would give you my selections for the full Premiership fixture list that kicks off around England on Boxing Day.
The big game of the day takes place at Villa Park with Aston Villa taking on Arsenal in a game that really is crucial for both of the sides involved. Villa who have now won six on the bounce face a Arsenal side that will be minus both Captain Fabregas and Star striker Adebayor and this I feel will be too much of an handicap and I fully expect Villa to triumph on the day with a 1 or 2-nil score line to cement their position in the top 4 in the league.

BET NOW

Chelsea have what looks like a very easy game on paper and should have way too much for bottom side West Brom and I fancy a 3 or more goals win for the Chelsea.
Liverpool who has been dodgy at home with a few draws recently should overcome a Bolton side that is hard to beat but my prediction for this is a home win with a 2-1 score line.
Out of form Man city host Hull City and this for me will be the 1st score draw of the coupon 1-1. Another draw in my view will be at the Riverside where Middlesbrough faces Everton and again I reckon it will be a score draw. Likewise Wigan V Newcastle and Sunderland V Blackburn have the draw look about them.
Manchester United travel to Stoke City and should be way to strong for the Stoke boys and 1 2 or 3-nil away win looks on the cards here.

Coral Sports Book – AFL warns players rushing could be a thing of the past

posted by admin in Odds

Coral sports book – Currently a player can rush a behind without fear of any repercussion other than the opposing side being awarded a single point.

The issue was highlighted in this years Grand Final when the Hawthorn Hawks rushed a league record 11 behinds against the Geelong Cats who were stifled in attack and subsequently hurt on the counter attack.

BET NOW

In this year’s pre season NAB cup, the rule will be trialed for the first tim,e outlawing the rushing of behinds.

The penalty for deliberately knocking the ball through the goals will be exactly the same as deliberately knocking the ball over the sideline – a direct free kick from the point at which the ball crossed the line.

In most cases, a rushed behind would almost certainly result in a goal – a huge seven point advantage for the attacking team.

This puts defenders in a very awkward position, forcing the question ‘Should I just let him kick a goal and save a point or try and stop him and risk a 7 point goal.’

Other rule changes include re-bouncing the ball if the resulting contest from an improper bounce favours one side as well as a softening of the previously harsh interchange rules.

The AFL is confident that if the rules run smoothly they could well be introduced into the home and away season in 2009.

Coral Sports Book – Premiership Highlights

posted by admin in Odds

coral sports book - All four of the labelled big clubs in the English Premiership all collected three points at the weekend with clean sheets all around except Blackburn’s late goal from Santa Cruz in their 3-1 home defeat by league leaders Liverpool.

PLAY NOW

Chelsea outplayed Bolton from the first whistle in their away game and first half goals from French hit man Nicolas Anelka and little Portuguese midfield maestro Deco were enough to take the points in a game in which they really got out of first gear too be honest.
Manchester United left it very late in their home victory over manager less Sunderland; Centre half Vidic was the unlikely match winner in the 90th minute when he struck home to send the home fans home extremely relieved to say the least.

Arsenal whose season looks to have took a turn for the best after Cesc Fabregas was appointed captain beat Wigan by a goal to nil with Adebayor notching early in the 1st half to give their title aspirations a lift in the right direction.

With the league now starting to take shape the teams at the bottom are all starting to struggle. West Brom are now rooted to the bottom after a 1-1 home draw with Portsmouth, Jonathan Greening putting Albion ahead only for England International Peter Crouch to grab an equaliser and should have also got a winner.

Tottenham have finally climbed out of the dreaded relegation zone thanks to a 2-0 away victory at West Ham, Skipper Ledley King grabbed his 1st goal for 3 years before Jamie O Hara wrapped up thje points for the North London outfit.

www.sportsbook.com – With nearly half the domestic season gone here in the UK I thought it would be a right time to mention who is playing well and who is likely to be chasing for the Title come next May.

Liverpool
Liverpool so far have had a pretty good season, currently joint top in the league they look like being in a position to finally challenge for the biggest prize in England after so many years of being the nearly men and in Fernando Torres they have a born match winner who can conjure something out of nothing and my only worry is who replaces him when he is injured because at the minute they don’t look like having anybody capable. Final Position Prediction: 3rd

Chelsea
Chelsea have been playing by far the best Football so far this season and the signing of Deco has so far looked like being a very good piece of business, with the added form of Anelka and the impending return of Drogba Chelsea look like the side that given a bit of luck will go on to take the title back to Stamford Bridge. Final Position Prediction: 1st
Manchester United
Manchester United have had a very slow start this season and are already playing catch up on Liverpool and Chelsea, having lost two crucial games already this season at both Liverpool and Arsenal you feel that if they are to lose anymore to a top side there chance will be fluffed, so this season I feel that United will finish empty handed both domestically and in Europe. Final Position Prediction 2nd

The battle for 4th place and the final Champions league place this season I think will go to Martin O Neil’s Aston Villa who have looked very organised and play a great attacking style of Football and with Arsenal’s continued drop in form I think this year will see a new team break in to the top 4 and that is Villa.

Betfair.com

www.betfair.com, who for so long were seen as the great big self interested, profit driven monster of the exchange betting world have been putting in a valiant and so what successful attempt to change that.

With the emergence of Betdaq as a serious player in their pond and WBX begging to spawn into an exchange that just won’t be eaten by it’s bigger predators Betfair have had to adapt and improve to keep customers. To a large extend they are still somewhat of a monopoly in the field with by far the biggest customer base and liquidity in their markets. But after they arrogantly assumed that their customers wouldn’t leave them no matter what they did and but up the commission rates on the site I think they were a little shocked at the amount of defectors. Ok, it was never enough to really threaten them but it was certainly a warning.

Recently the firm has been trying to get back to a little bit of the basics and put the customers first. Plenty of cash back offers have been on the table with a few second chance schemes. Also the introduction of things like Timeform radio with expert opinions and previews has been good along with live TV streaming of some of their in running events. All these are aimed at keeping customers and pushing the brand even further forward instead of resting on their laurels.

No doubt that at present it is the best exchange and s getting better but there is still a lot wrong with it. For example the forum, which was intended for punters to share views and discuss the action to build on the community feel, is still full of belligerent, self important, ignorant idiots who pour scorn on anyone they think knows less them they do, which to them is everybody. And that sums up everything bad in racing and does the sports reputation no good.
