David Haye is rated at Cruiserweight and Heavyweight and has potentially one of the biggest fights of his career coming up. Haye will be training for this fight at his training camp based in Kyrenia, Cyprus. Haye started his amateur career in 1999 and began his professional career in 2002. This career went off with a bang as he knocked out his first opponent in the second round!
His next big fight has been scheduled for the 20th June 2009 in Germany and he will be boxing against Wladimir Klitschko, who is ranked number 1 by the International Boxing Organisation. This will no doubt be a great battle and it is anybody’s guess as to who will win. UK sports betting odds can be viewed at Coral sports book.
It took such a long time to get this fight organised, it was also suggested that it was never actually going to happen because none of the camps could agree a fee or location! The first choice venue for Haye was the US but for Klitschko, he saw more benefit in the fight being held in Europe. This was then agreed.
In Haye’s professional boxing career, he has an astounding record with 22 wins, 21 of those were knockouts and he has lost just once in his professional career to a fellow Brit, Carl Thompson. This doesn’t matter though as David Haye is going to be a name to remember for the future!
